Cathy Iconis, CPA offers Virtual CFO and Accounting Consulting services.  She helps small businesses analyze their financial status to make better business operating decisions.  She also helps accounting departments and CPA firms with overflow assistance on different projects.

Cathy Iconis, CPA has worked for a local Atlanta CPA firm, as an auditor and forensic accountant, and for a global construction company, as a member of the finance team.  This experience has enabled her to see businesses and accounting from many different angles.  She has spent most of her career analyzing companies and creating efficiencies in the accounting process.

Cathy Iconis, CPA was recently highlighted on The Pursuit of Mommyness.   It is a site that provides free resources, networking and support for women who want to be or are stay at home moms and mompreneurs!  Here is a bit of the article -

Cathy Iconis, became a first time mom of a baby girl in 2009, and only shortly after her maternity leave, she made the leap from her secure job as an accountant for a big company to home business.

So that she could be a stay at home mom.

Turned out there was healthy demand amongst small businesses for virtual CFO’s, and with some hard work, passion and great experience working for a multi-billion dollar company…Cathy Iconis CPA Virtual CFO and Consultant was born.

Atlanta Small Biz
Cathy Iconis, CPA, with the help of several contributors, started a blog for Atlanta Small Businesses on January 1, 2010, called Atlanta Small Biz.  We are striving to create an open community of experts and small business people to share ideas and insight into owning and operating a small business in Atlanta.

Here is my letter to CFO.com's editor, they titled Working on a Dream, which was subsequently published in their magazine. The initial article, "The War for Talent Is Still On", discussed things companies and managers can do to retain their staff members. 

I thought they left out one important topic, giving yourself.  Most times, your boss and the relationship a person has with them will make the deciding factor as to whether an employee with stay or go.  Read more about my comments here.
